Hangovers

Having a rough morning? Did you wake up whispering, please, please get me through this morning and I’ll never do it again? Or were you cussing yourself for a fool.

We all know vows won’t make our mistreated stomach, aching head or bruised ego feeling any better. But every time we hit the party circuit with a little too much zeal we find ourselves muttering promises and threats to any higher power that will listen in a vain attempt to get motivated towards a productive day. Well never fear!Due to my own inability to moderate and a healthy network of senseless friends I have spent a lifetime perfecting the art of rehabilitative drinking.

Now if you’re the type to get up in arms about my cavalier attitude toward alcohol consumption do me a favor. Mind your own business! I’m only trying to promote a healthful solution to a traditional human social circumstance, the hangover. Remember, we humans have been gathering and celebrating natural stress relief for time uncounted.

Now let’s get serious. Believe it or not each individual has different recuperative needs after a bout with the spirits. Common knowledge dictates that we rehydrate with water or sweet juices. Some of us add B vitamins to boost stamina. And of course smooth ingredients to sooth the stomach like egg yolks and milk are main ingredients in many traditional hangover remedies. I for one am a die hard believer that the tougher you are on your system the “morning after”, the quicker you will convince it that compliance is the only viable survival tactic available.

Whether you prefer the comfortable approach or hair of the Dog, smooth or spicy, I’ve selected some of my favorite hangover remedies to help you balance your daytime and nighttime activities effectively. Read on and I’m sure you will know which one fits you best the moment you see it.
